Marjie Smith Memorial Scholarship
- Marjie Smith - East Regional Director for many years, passed away from a courageous battle with cancer in August 2007. Marjie was a wonderful, compassionate, and special friend to all who knew her. Marjie was involved with Odyssey of the Mind for so many years, the Executive Board of Directors and personal friends, wanted to remember and pay respect to her in a special way. We have set up a Memorial Scholarship fund in Marjie's name to give to an active, OMer high school senior, something Marjie would have encouraged us to do.
- Scholarship applications will be made through the Odyssey of the Mind World website. As an OMer applicant, it is possible to receive both the World and the Marjie Smith memorial Scholarship. Oklahoma's applicants will be pulled once the World recipients have been chosen and a special selection will be made for the Marjie Smith Memorial Scholarship. World will notify the Association Director, Marianne Zamor, of their selection of an Oklahoma candidate for our scholarship.
